Sometimes, a family holiday and a some relaxation time, is the best way to start a new year. With 2017 beginning with some terrible negativity, my family and myself needed a break. Noosa in Queensland Australia is the most beautiful place to visit.19 hours in the car with the fam can be really draining but if you have music, books and humour you can survive.
My brother, Will, is always the person in the backseat with the comments that are random but hilarious.”Umm excuse me you’re in my seat” is always a favourite especially in his Mickey Mouse impression.
Down Hastings Street, there are so many ice cream shops and restaurants. Cute and quirky boho shops and mainstream stores such as Witchery, Lorna Jane and Peter Alexander. I love Noosa because of its multicultural community of tourists and the backpackers. The backpackers; Halse Lodge, is the best place to hang. They also have a volunteering deal which asks you to work in the bar and restaurant for free accomodation, meals and wi-fi. Then you spend the day on the beach.
About half an hour away from Noosa is Eumundi which holds a market. Amazing artists, jewellery makers and food stalls all originate which gives great options for souvenirs and gifts.
As you head home after 10 days with a tan, extra sand everywhere and a little bit of the blues, I hope as I read and listen to music to return as soon as possible.
